Level 3 Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace

Objectives

To equip the Mental Health First Aider with a wide range of skills and knowledge so that he/she can competently recognise when someone is suffering. Upon successful completion of this course, a Qualsafe approved Mental Health First Aid at Work certificate will be awarded (valid for 3 years).

Contents

This course is broken down in to 4 parts, with each part taking half a day to complete. All 4 parts are essential in gaining a useful and coherent understanding of mental health in the workplace.

Objectives

Our mental health training courses are designed to help you develop better mental health awareness across your organisation and offer more comprehensive mental health support at work. They will equip you with the knowledge, confidence and tools to implement practical, preventative strategies that will increase workplace wellbeing and reduce the impact of mental ill health on your business.

In addition, we equip your staff to support others in a crisis and help them learn how to recognize and respond to the signs and symptoms of various mental health conditions.  The course covers depression, suicidal crisis, anxiety, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, self-harm and other relevant conditions and issues. Treatment, recovery and relevant resources are discussed for each condition, along with action planning.
