Health and Safety Awareness Training

Health and Safety Awareness Training provides staff with the essential knowledge to maintain a safe, compliant, and risk-aware workplace. The course covers legal responsibilities, hazard identification, risk assessments, safe equipment use, and handling of hazardous substances.

Learners also explore fire prevention, PPE protocols, and emergency procedures including Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs).

Designed for care, education, and general workplace settings, this training supports compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and related regulations.

It empowers staff to take proactive steps in preventing accidents, protecting individuals, and enabling a culture of safety and accountability across all roles.

The course is for care staff, school teams, support workers, and general employees who need to understand workplace health and safety responsibilities and contribute to safer, legally compliant environments.

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations require employers to appoint ‘one or more competent persons‘ to help them to meet their duty to control risks at work.  A competent person is someone with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to manage health and safety.
